IOM SUMMER SCHOOL ON MIGRATION STUDIES 2018
IOM Summer school on migration studies was held in Prague, Charles University, from August 26th to September 1st 2018. IOM International Organization for Migration Prague hosted university students (both graduate and undergraduate) as well as young professionals in cooperation with Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague (Geographic Migration Centre).
Seven days of lectures, workshops and discussions with experts was unique opportunity to get familiar with different migration topics: integration, labour migration, trafficking in human beings, migration and development, environmental migration, migration and gender, migration law and others.
The project is co-funded by the U.S. Embassy in Prague within the Small Grants Program. Project partner is the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) Prague. The 10th IOM Summer School on Migration is held under the auspices of the Minister of Interior Mr. Jan Hamáček.
IOM Prague has implemented the Summer School every year since 2009. It was attended by more than 500 students and professionals from 60 countries who attended lectures presented by following experts:
