Pilot Research of the Environment of Trafficking in Human Beings in the Czech Republic (2004-2005)

From December 2004 to February 2005, IOM International organization for migration in Prague has conducted a pilot research on environment of trafficking in human beings in the Czech Republic. The research was contracted by the Czech Ministry of Interior, Security Policy Department. It was especially focused on forced labour and forms of trafficking other than for sexual exploitation purposes and based on more than 30 interviews with estimated victims of THB and 674 questionnaires answered by Alien and Border Police, Organised Crime Combat Unit, Refugees Facility Administration and 6 NGOs. Furthermore, the report (to be downloaded here) includes a theoretical study of organized crime in environment of labour migration in the Czech Republic.
