The Summer School on Migration Studies 2015

The Summer School on Migration 2015 was held in cooperation with the University of South Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice from 17-22 August. The program was designed for students (both graduate and undergraduate) as well as young professionals in migration field from abroad with various professional and personal backgrounds. The program was based on the multidisciplinary approach and offers a combination of theoretical lectures and examples of good practice presented by local and international academics, activists, representatives of NGOs, but also governmental and intergovernmental organizations (IOM, Czech Development Agency, Ministry of Interior, etc.). Mutchler from University of Arizona, Anna Platonova from IOM Brussels, Salim Murad from EMMIR, Dusan Drbohlav from the Charles University Prague, Michal Vašečka from Masaryk University in Brno, Jiří Pehe from NUY Prague and others.   

The Summer School on Migration was part of the European Year of Development 2015 (EYD2015). The project was supported by the European Commission and the Czech Development Agency in the framework of the Program for Foreign Development Cooperation. It was also funded by the U.S. Embassy in Prague within the Small Grants Program,  and by the University of South Bohemia within the Institutional Development Program.
