Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. As a core activity of IOM, AVRR activities provide vital assistance to thousands of migrants every year. Building on experience and a world-wide network of offices and partners, IOM’s AVRR programmes strive to ensure that migrants in need are assisted to return voluntarily, safely and in dignity, and are supported in achieving sustainable reintegration, in full respect for human rights, regardless of their status.
The project "Return and Reintegration Assistance to Voluntary Returns of Third-country Nationals 2024-2026" Reg. No CZ.12.01.03/00/23_015/0000034 is co-financed by the European Union through the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund Programme and the budget of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic.
In terms of the programme we offer:
- Free counselling on a wide range of issues, pre-departure assistance, legal and other specialized services
- Arrangement of free air tickets or tickets for other modes of transport, including transport from the airport, transit assistance, etc.
- Accommodation, food and health services could be provided before departure in case of utmost necessity.
- In-kind assistance upon arrival to the country of origin:
- Accommodation
- Education
- Healthcare services
- Facilities and equipment necessary for the business
- Purchase of livestock animals or other types of support, such as legal counselling and other professional services
